LUXURY NAOUSSA HOTELS

PARILIO DESIGN HOTEL

Tucked away in the rolling hills west of Naoussa, you’ll find ParΔ«lio, one of Paros’ best luxury resorts. Architecturally designed to embody the laid-back Cycladic cadence of life, the 33 suites give you no choice but to chill out.

The minimal design, understated palette and abundance of natural stone are genuinely relaxing – especially if you’re visiting Paros to escape the excess of Mykonos.

ParΔ«lio Design Hotel is outfitted with everything you expect in a luxury hotel at this price point: designer furniture, an enormous pool, an on-site spa, a fitness centre, and a restaurant serving modern Greek delicacies.

COVE PAROS

Newly opened for summer 2021, the 40-room Cove Paros overlooks the golden sands and sparkling water of our favourite beach on Paros, Agioi Anargyroi.

Cove was nearly finished when we visited, and since opening, it’s gained a decent reputation among upscale travellers. The location is idyllic, and the rooms and suites are spacious and well-designed. Rada Restaurant will be exquisite if our Naoussa experience is anything to go by.

Hot tip: Moraitis Winery nearby is a must-do while on Paros. Book a tasting to learn about Greek wines and sample local snacks.

SANDAYA LUXURY SUITES

Sandaya Luxury Suites in Naoussa are the pinnacle of elegance. With its swooping curves, beaming white walls, and poolside bar, this luxurious hotel provides a refined simplicity that will immediately have you living your best life.

The interior design is not pure Cycladic- instead dripping in decadent tones of mocha. Some rooms provide a spectacular view of the sea, whereas others come with a private balcony. A few suites even come with their private hot tub.

In addition to that beautiful pool, guests can also enjoy the on-site restaurant, garden, and complimentary Γ  la carte and continental breakfast.

Plus, Sandaya Luxury Suites is only 200m away from the stunning Agioi Anargyroi Beach.

COSME PAROS

You cannot get any closer to a beach in Naoussa. Cosme Paros sits on what we consider the best beach on the island, Agioi Anargyroi.

This breathtaking luxury hotel is designed in the traditional Cycladic style: white walls, sharp lines, and accents of blue.

Beyond being aesthetically gorgeous, Cosme Paros boasts a tennis court, fitness centre, spa and wellness centre, and an outdoor swimming pool. There is also an on-site restaurant under the helm of renowned Greek chef Yiannis Kioroglou.

MID-RANGE NAOUSSA HOTELS

SAINT ANDREA SEASIDE RESORT

Like ParΔ«lio, the 56-room Saint Andrea Seaside Resort is a 25-minute walk west of Naoussa in a secluded area surrounded by abundant nature.

The rooms and suites are comfortable enough for a relaxing stay. Overall, though, the hotel’s design feels like it will soon belong in a bygone era.

But then there’s the hotel’s best feature by far, the pool. With uninterrupted views over an unspoiled bay out to uninhabited islands, it’s undoubtedly one of the best places on Paros to unwind.

CENTRAL BOUTIQUE HOTEL

The tidy Central Boutique Hotel in the centre of Naoussa is a great base to explore the surrounding town. Opened in 2021, the sister hotel to the sprawling Naoussa Hills hotel takes an entirely different approach.

And it works. The rooms are thoughtfully designed, balancing white and anthracite with pops of vibrant modern art, and the pool is unlikely to get too crowded.

If you’re staying in Naoussa to explore Paros and looking for a comfortable, contemporary base, check out Central Boutique Hotel.

ANEMOI RESORT

Just outside of the town of Naoussa (1.5km to be precise), you’ll find Anemoi Resort. Here, you can revel in incredible views of the deep blue sea and the surrounding hills.

Anemoi Resort has, of course, an outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, sun terrace, and poolside bar.

The resort is typical Cycladic, inside and out. Though the exterior is undeniably traditional, the interior design is more contemporary. That being said, you will still find the white walls, grey accents, and rustic wood furniture representative of this region.

PARIAN BOUTIQUE HOTEL

Welcome to the Parian Boutique Hotel, perfectly situated within walking distance of three beaches on Paros: Agioi Anargyroi, Piperi, and Siparos. The sea views from this hotel are incredible, especially if you’re lucky enough to get a room overlooking the Aegean.

The Parian is a 4-star accommodation in the heart of Naoussa, surrounded by restaurants and close to the famous Moraitis Winery.

Architecturally magnificent and containing a large, luxurious pool, the Parian Boutique Hotel is a fantastic choice for travellers with a mid-range budget.

MR & MRS SMITH PAROS

Located just beyond the heart of Naoussa Town (but still at a very reasonable distance to the beach) lies Mr & Mrs Smith Paros. The building is perfectly whitewashed and there is air conditioning in every room.

This hotel in Naoussa features not one, but two glistening pools. After a swim, bask on one of the sun loungers or order some tasty bites from the poolside snack bar.

Speaking of food, the on-site restaurant cooks up a delicious selection of American, Greek, and Cycladic dishes for you to savour.

BUDGET HOTELS IN NAOUSSA

BUNGALOWS SVORONOS

With the beach on one side and the historic centre of Naoussa on the other, both a few minutes away on foot, Bungalows Svoronos is in a great area.

The rooms are simple but comfortable, with kitchenettes and charmingly creaky Cycladic furniture. Some rooms don’t have air conditioning, which could be a problem in the summer months.

But what you’ll really love is the history. Svoronos, one of the oldest accommodations in Naoussa, has spent 50 years accumulating a collection of quirky local antiques and growing the bougainvillaea and trees that shade the garden.

KALYPSO HOTEL & KALYPSO APARTMENTS

Naoussa isn’t cheap, which makes the Kalypso properties appealing right off the bat. There are three Kalypso options: a laid-back boutique hotel by the beach, a 14-apartment complex half a kilometre up the road, or sprawling seafront villas by the bay (although the villas are significantly more expensive).

Both the hotel and apartments offer single, double or family rooms in classically whitewashed buildings.

You’ve got the essential mod-cons like air conditioning, Wi-Fi and refrigerators, plus kitchenettes in the apartments, and private balconies where you can enjoy a glass of Greek wine and watch the lazy bay.

IRINI ROOMS

Irini Rooms may not have a pool but it is next door to Piperi Beach. The Venetian Harbour and Castle are also close by and the town isn’t far either!

The rooms at this Paros hotel are simple yet pleasant and feature more nautical decor than you’ll find at the higher-end accommodation options. You will have a fridge and electric kettle in your room, and a shared kitchen is available for use.

There is air conditioning, however, no complimentary breakfast or parking.

APANEMA PAROS

Between Agioi Anargyroi and the historic heart of Naoussa is Apanema Paros. It is the highest-rated budget accommodation on this list, and will not leave you wanting anything (besides breakfast and a pool).

Rooms are in the typical Cycladic style of whitewashed walls, shades of Naousa blue, and touches of honey-brown wood. Studios and apartments come with a private kitchenette and satellite tv.

Apanema has its own olive garden, complete with a chapel and BBQ facilities.

RAGOUSSIS ROOMS

Ragoussis Sweet Rooms is well situated in the centre of Naoussa, close to the Venetian Harbour and Castle and an abundance of restaurants.

The interiors diverge from most of the other hotels on Paros. You’ll find no classic Cycladic design here. Instead, rooms are more modern with pops of red and purple. It might not be a traditional Paros experience, but the price tag is better suited to travellers wandering on a tight budget.

The amenities are basic: flat-screen tv and air conditioning. Some rooms offer a view of the city or sea.

HOW TO GET TO NAOUSSA

Naoussa is located in the northeast of Paros, about 10km from Parikia ferry port.

There are a few ways to get to Naoussa from Parikia, although which one you should opt for depends on how long you plan to visit, and whether you plan to explore the rest of Paros or relax in the town.

We’ve written a complete guide on how to get from Parikia to Naoussa, which you can read here, otherwise here’s a short breakdown below:

LOCAL BUS

To get to Naoussa, we suggest the cheapest, and potentially easiest option, by local bus.

See the Paros bus timetable here

The bus terminal in Parikia can be found to the right of the ferry terminal, making it an easy transfer from the Port to Naoussa, while the Naoussa bus terminal is a short walk from the town centre.

Tickets between major hubs including Naoussa cost around €1.80 (the most we paid was €2.50 for a ticket). Tickets for the Paros bus service should be purchased prior to boarding and can be found at bus stations, or on the bus (you must pay cash).

RENTING A CAR ON PAROS

Normally, we wouldn’t advocate hiring a car when visiting a Greek island, but Paros is relatively large, and if you have your own set of wheels, especially an air-conditioned set, it will make your life so much easier and allow you to see all the best things to do on Paros.

Car rental on Paros is actually quite affordable, especially during the shoulder seasons, but we highly recommend booking in advance!

Expect to pay around €25 - €50 per day for car rental on Paros.

SCOOTER OR ATV

For those on a budget, hiring an ATV or scooter might be a better option to explore Paros.

ATV’s and scooters afford great flexibility and freedom for those looking to stay fairly central to Naoussa and explore some of the closer beaches such as Kolymbitheres and Santa Maria.

Note that to rent a scooter in Greece you'll need to show proof of a motorbike license.

We rented our ATV from Spanopoulos Car Rental, which was one of the better rental agencies we came across in Greece.
